There is no end to the love I have for Nepal, it truly is a place of magic and wonder. From the jungle canopy in the South, to the majestic wonder of the Himalayan mountains. Although there are more economically stable places to live, some with better health care and systems of governance, Nepal is the place I feel connected with myself and the world around me.
There is a second place, and third place to this question. Both Peru and Scotland have marked themselves to be great contenders, but Nepal, its truly magical.
I can see myself running a tea-house somewhere along the Annapurna circuit. Welcoming hikers in from a hard days walk, cooking them food, pouring out beer and lighting up their cigarettes.
Perhaps in the evenings, or on the days I am not busy running the tea-house, I would teach the local children. History, English, maybe other subjects I feel confident teaching them.
I’d sit at the front of the tea house in the evening and watch the sun dip under the mountains, smoke a pipe, maybe a beer or two.
What a life that would be ey.
