Uncharted Thoughts.

This time two weeks ago I was considering shutting down Uncharted Thoughts. Taking a step back and figuring out how, and what my next steps are. Fast forward to today, and I have had some of the highest viewership’s this year.

This year was a disaster, unorganised chaos, with no hope of hitting the targets set at the beginning of the year. I will not pretend that some of it was due to a lack of motivation. Life was difficult, and I used my time in other areas of my life. For that, I apologies.

However, we move forward, we strive for better and we NEVER, stop trying.

So, Uncharted Thoughts has taken on the challenge of raising money for Refugee women in Afghanistan.

It is a BIG effort, and something I think is the next step in the Afghan journey. The media has refused to accept any of my stories, I have been largely ignored by UN officials and other human rights organisation, and I feel a deep sense of failure and remorse for those I interviewed.

A marathon, is the ONLY way I am able to continue making traction towards a better, brighter future for these women.

As most of you know, I have moved to Canada. My fiancé and I have started a life here from the bottom, again. We are staying at her family home, as we work hospitality and retail jobs. We have almost an entire year of employment before us, and hope to find a future in this country. One we can be proud of, something we have built ourselves.

It has been a rocky start. We are strong together, but it hasn’t been an easy transition. I think the 10 months we were physically separated, has played a big role on our relationship, and regaining out foothold together. We argued a little, something we never really did, and we were set in a strange mode we both couldn’t shake immediately.

I think it is a natural way of things, and we are both back on track now, as if nothing happened. We are dreaming big, and spending small.

I’ve discovered the idea of becoming a ‘hiking guide’ in the Rockies. Although I already have a long list of things I want to do, and achieve, this new career path is something I had never really considered before. Now, I am beyond intrigued with the idea.

Imagine that “Uncharted Hikes”, with “Uncharted Thoughts” as the support blog and “Uncharted Stories” as my book collection.

In another life?? No, in this one please, God.
