Uncharted Thoughts.

It has been three years to the day since I started this blog and what an incredible ride it has been so far. I started this as a form of escapism, as well as a means to improve my writing, and to explore journalism as a new career path.

Now, 36 months later with 113 posts, over 8,000 views and a readership from 49 countries. I can honestly say it has been far more successful than I ever imagined.

To see this grow from a blog about philosophy, education and general life into a more refined source of news and travel stories is the beginning of something bigger. Something I hope will evolve from a hobby into a way to make a living.

I have interacted with a number of my readers, set up a monthly news letter and contributed to change within the community I live in.

This post is a little thank you, to all of my readers. Be this your first, or your 113th read from Uncharted Thoughts, I want to say a massive thank you.

I would like to quickly, before rambling on about the future of Uncharted Thoughts, remind those that haven’t to subscribe, and please leave a comment below, any feedback helps.

Alas, what is the future for Uncharted Thoughts? Well, I plan on growing this blog into a personal brand, to continue writing on subjects I find interesting and, in due time, release a series of travel books unlike any released before.

I have finished my Masters in News Journalism, leaving with a very good grade and an impressive Major Project that I hope, will be seen in magazines in the coming months.

I am currently looking at jobs in Journalism, be it for a national or local paper, and am excited about the future.

The short term goal is simple, produce quality journalism and continue travel writing as I go. The long term goal is to create a legitimate travel writing business and to write multiple travel writing books.

These books will each include separate country chapters, high quality photography and a multilayered readership.

I expect to have the first book released by 2028.

As a thank you, to all those that have followed me, subscribed and interreacted with my writing. I plan on gifting, free of charge 30 of the first books, signed to my first thirty subscribers. In hopes to repay you for your loyalty and support.

Of course, this is a long ways off yet and there is so much work yet to be done.

I will be continuing the Uncharted News Letters. Starting back up on November 1st. I apologies for the delay and lack of conversation regarding these letters, but have no fear, Novembers addition will be striking and a fun read.
