Battle Los Angeles

In the last week we have seen some of the most concerning headlines of the year so far. Israel targets Iran, a major plane crash in India, Russia and Ukraine go head to head in their largest strikes since the beginning of the war and to top it off scientists have warned that there is no going back for the worlds melting glaciers.

Meanwhile, across the large pond, America wakes up after its fifth night of rioting.

It is my understanding, having visited LA in 2021, that it has become a playground of crime and anarchy. That the state of sunshine and surf has become a real life GTA playground. Gangs, crackheads and white collar crime have made any form of policing impossible for the state.

When I was visiting in 2021, I noticed the rows of tents, the nonchalant drug use on the steps of city hall, the human faeces line highways and alleyways, crackheads shouting at passing cars, shots fired on the streets in daylight and liberal anarchy insignia sprayed on every available concrete surface. There was no Hollywood dreamland, it was a lawless drug fuelled wasteland.

I woke up to the news of riots in LA with the feeling of complete dullness. I felt nothing for those rioting because I knew, without even examining the subject, that it was going to be some anarchist, no boarders, release ma boy Alejandro he did nothing wrong bullshit.

I have watched enough, read enough and seen enough to understand that California is a liberal state, that was once Spanish, then Mexican, and now American. That there is a massive Mexican community there, 39% of the states inhabitancy to be more exact. Lots of these people are hardworking, legal occupiers of the United States.

Yet, there is another group of people who have ran across the boarder and work illegally, and without documentation. This is not okay.

Legal documentation is not only for the safety of the state, the people living there and tax payers. It is also for the protection of the individual that has legal residency.

These rioters claim that they are there to combat ICE, and fight against fascism and the deportation of Mexicans and central Americans who have lived in the state for many years. This is not the case.

These riots are not for the protection of the American citizen, they are for the destruction of law, order and democracy.

When I grew up, 1995, I was taught there are repercussions for my actions. I was spoke back to my mother or father, I would be punished for that. If I stole, I would be punished. It seems to me that this ideology of taking responsibility for your actions has been lost. Specially in the left leaning world.

If you attack a police officer, obstruct the law in its duties or interfere with diplomatic procedure then you should be arrested. The law has been put in place to protect the citizens of its country and these laws have been passed through legal process which is founded within the countries constitution and legal legislation.

Of course protest is valuable in America, in the world throughout. This democracy is built on protest and change. Disorder and chaos driven by alternative motives such as anarchy and influence from outside forces is terrorism at treason.

Entering lands illegally is a international crime. If I illegally entered Iran, China, Peru or Egypt, I’d expect prison time and a fine, plus, without a doubt deportation. Boarders are not a patriarchal invisible line that are put there to divide us as a species. They are there as lines in the sand to countries, governments, militaries, tax, legislation and security.
