“The highest reward for a mans toil is not what he can get from it, but what he becomes by it” – John Ruskin

It is a day to celebrate, just like yesterday and tomorrow.
It is a rarity to see me sit back and smell the roses. I am hard on myself, and often forget just how far I have come over the years. Today however, I celebrate. Uncharted Thoughts has arrived at its 1000th viewer. That’s right, in less that a year, my small blog has drawn forwards the eyes of 1000 people from over twenty countries.
From the lush green fields of the United Kingdom, to the busy bustling streets of India, then onto the ancient historical cities of Japan and the great national parks of Canada and The United States of America. My blog has been read by one thousand faces across this large blue rock drifting through the endless void.
Some may say that 1000 in the grand scheme of things is not a lot, maybe some of you get that viewership in a week or maybe even a day. But as Marcus says “Do not dream of possessions of what you do not have: rather reflect on the greatest blessings in what you do have” (7-27).
I set up this blog in an attempt to improve my writing and research skills, to extend my knowledge on geopolitical, political, philosophical, spiritual, historical and human affairs. To share whatever wisdom I gather and convey it to my readers. I intended on giving a human touch to philosophy, to damped the marble highbrow approach to its teachings. To spread awareness on political and humanitarian topics. To have fun with history and to find out more about different spiritual beliefs.
I am proud of my 1000 viewers. I am proud I kept up this blogging process for so long and not give up on it within the first couple of weeks. And will gladly continue to post for as long as I have something to say. I am glad I have accumulated a small loyal readership. I am shocked that my work here has lead me onto a more spiritual and philosophical path. I am astounded by how much knowledge I have gathered in the process of writing. I am over the moon that I have finally found my passion in life.
Since starting this blog, my life has taken some incredible turns. In less that a year, I can look back at some of these incredible events with a big smile on my face. Realising how far I have come already.
If you are interested in my blog, enjoy reading them and want more. Please consider buying me a coffee or sponsoring my blog at:

All proceeds will go to coffee, bus fair and food shopping. Since I am officially starting my masters in News Journalism in less than a week, I could do with every coffee, bus ride and loaf of bread I can get my hands on.
Thank you, all of you, for reading my blog. It means the world to me that people are interested in what I have to say. Although I am going to be going into a very busy part of my life, I will continue to blog here indefinitely and, if plans go to plan, Uncharted Thoughts may grow to be something much more in the coming years.
Once again, thank you all for reading.
